Make Your Own Escape (MYOE) is an escape room game design podcast series created and presented by British game designer Mink ette and international immersive theatre and game maker Arlo Howard. ‘Make Your Own Escape’ caters to enthusiasts of the genre and those who are thinking of making their own Escape Room. The show examines and explains various aspects of escape room design and aims to help viewers deepen their understanding of the design of the games that they play and to encourage escape room owners to improve their craft.

The series is made up of three tiers of content; ‘101’ introductory level videos that cover the key aspects of creating an escape room game, ‘Nuance’ level videos that take a deeper dive into topics such as how to structure a puzzle or discussing issues of accessibility in games, and the ‘Break Out’ level, that discusses innovations within the industry and looking to other fields for ideas.
